Deleting your Kerabat account
This page explains how to ask for your Kerabat account to be deleted, what is deleted with it, what stays with your family and how long each of those takes.
How to delete your account
- Open Kerabat — the installed app, or app.kerabat.app in a browser — and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Find the card Your account and tap Delete my account.
- The app names the date your account will be deleted, and tells you what goes and what stays. Confirm with Delete my account.
You have 30 days to change your mind. Until that date the app shows Keep my account on every screen, and one tap brings the account back with everything in it. On that date the deletion is carried out and cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Write to privacy@kerabat.app from the email address of the account and ask for it to be deleted. The address is how we know the request is yours; we cannot delete an account on a request that comes from somewhere else.
What is deleted
- Your account and the way into it, including the email address you sign in with.
- The name you go by in the app and the personal settings that follow you from phone to phone — your language, your reminders, the calendars you chose to see.
- The address used for the family calendar, if you connected one.
Signing in afterwards with the same address makes a new, empty person: nothing from the deleted account comes back with it.
What stays, and why
What you recorded for a family stays with that family. Spending and payments belong to the family's shared list, not to you alone: a receipt you entered is what the other parent sees when they look at last month. Those records keep the name you went by in that family, because that name is the signature under a year of entries — take it away and the family's own history stops making sense.
If you are the last person in the family, the family is deleted together with your account, on the same day — everything in it goes: spending, payments, classes and receipt photos.
How long data is kept

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete the whole account to get rid of what is in it.
- Open Kerabat — the installed app, or app.kerabat.app in a browser — and sign in.
- Find the record you want gone: a spend on the Day or Spending screen, a bill on Bills, a class on Schedule.
- Open it and choose Delete. It goes at once, for everyone in the family.
- To step out of a family without touching your account, go to Settings and tap Leave this family. You lose access to that family's list; the records you made stay with it.
For anything you cannot do from the app, write to privacy@kerabat.app from the email address of your account and say what you want removed.
One limit, said plainly. Spending, payments and classes recorded for a family belong to that family's shared list. If other people are still in the family, we will not remove those records on the request of one member: they are the other parent's history as much as yours. What you can always do is delete them yourself while you are in the family, or delete the family entirely when you are the last person left in it.
